Ranked #1 Out of 300,000 AI Automation Builders Worldwide
Key Results
The Context
Nate Herk operates the internet's largest AI automation community — 700K+ subscribers on YouTube and 300K+ active builders in the community itself. His hackathons are structured as a pure meritocracy: no sales deck, no LinkedIn presence, no vibes. Agency operators, full-stack engineers, and n8n power users compete on one thing — build the system, ship it, get judged.
These competitions are taken seriously by the people who actually build production automation systems for a living. Placing in them means something in the field.
The Build
Our chief automation engineer, Azim Kodirov, entered the hackathon and built a Vapi + n8n voice agent project. The system combined real-time voice AI with n8n automation workflows — a production-grade agentic build designed to demonstrate what's possible when telephony, LLM reasoning, and workflow automation are fully integrated.
The judging criteria were straightforward: technical quality, practical utility, and execution speed. No presentation polish, no narrative. Just the system.
- Vapi voice AI integration — real-time telephony with natural conversation capability
- n8n automation backbone — full workflow orchestration triggered by voice interactions
- End-to-end agentic system — from inbound call to automated downstream action
- Built and submitted within hackathon timeframe — no pre-built components
The Result
Azim won first place — ranked #1 out of 300,000 AI automation builders in the community.
In a field where results are the only currency, this is the kind of external validation that matters. The same engineer who placed first against 300K builders is the one building production automation systems for Deep Loom clients.
